Young Butterfly wants you to save the date! On May 10, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., we will hold a Ladies in Pink Literacy Luncheon. This Luncheon will share our growing concern about reading and reading comprehension deficiencies among our school-age youth. We invite 75-100 young ladies, ages 8-11 of any ethnicity, to share this awareness with us. Young Butterfly wants you to stand with us for this cause!

The color pink represents compassion and empathy. The deeper the color, the more passion and energy radiate in our journey for positive change (Color-Meanings.com, 2017). Therefore, our color for this event is fuchsia!

The price of our luncheon is $75.00 per attendee. The menu will include chicken and fish entrees with a delightful dessert. In addition, we will have several vendors that will join us to provide additional services to you that will help further our cause. Even if you cannot attend, your donations will help hire qualified individuals to assist with meeting our goals. Last, we will have a guest speaker from an author that will educate you on this great need for positive literacy change among our youth.
